Hands On Math Math comes to life in our classes! We teach math using fun and engaging approaches. We incorporate all senses in our math lessons and give math meaning, rather than teaching math as arbitrary numbers on paper. Students who struggling with math will be confident in their knowledge and understanding of math concepts taught. Hands on techniques include games, stories, songs, creating food & toys, using coins & money, manipulatives and more. $20/session or $150/paid in full
Math I This class covers: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, money, fractions will be confident with their knowledge and understanding in areas of lower division math: addition, subtractions, multiplication, division, units of measurement.
Math II We teach students the key to learning the relationship between fractions, percentages, and decimal numbers.
Tuesday 10-12 or Thursdays 11-12 Writing Classes If your child is behind in writing, hasn’t been taught foundational writing or struggles to remember parts of speech, writing rules, etc, this is the class for them. Within a year or two, your child will be armed with the tools to be successful in any writing class/program. Each class is individually structured for students in the class' needs and level. The classes offer positive reinforcement ONLY. We do not focus on the writing errors, only work on improvement. $20/session or $150/paid in full
Beginning Writing Class for Elementary Students This is the perfect introductory writing class, students will learn the basics of writing, that they can use forever. Each week, students will complete one short writing assignment.
Beginning Writing Class for Older Students This class will encourage your child to write, and write well. Students will learn the basics of writing, that they can use forever. Each week, students will complete one short writing assignment.
Intermediate Writing Class for Older Students This is a continuation of the Beginning class or a great place to begin if a student has previous formal exposure to writing but still struggles to write. We will work on developing webbing and students will develop descriptive paragraphs each week.
