Q. What is the process to start tutoring? A.Step One: Schedule a 30 minute consultation via phone, skype or in person with our director, who will discuss your child’s struggles, your goals for your child, and our program options. Step Two: Your child will participate in a Student Screening at one of our center to determine a starting point for your child's personalized tutoring plan.
Q. Are all of your programs the same? A. We individualize our program for each student based on the initial consultation, student screening and tutor's observation.
Q. How do I schedule a consultation or screening appointment? A. Simply go to calendly.com/lexialearners and select the type of service you wish to schedule an appointment for and choose from the time slots available.
Q.Am I too old for tutoring? A.We tutor students from age 7 and up to adulthood. It’s not too late to end your reading struggles. If you are an adult who reads slowly, has trouble putting your thoughts on paper or is a terrible speller, we can help. One of the programs we use, is geared towards teaching adult students how to read and spell, well.
Q. Can my Dyslexic child thrive in college? A. Yes. there are many options for dyslexic students to successfully attend college. One option is to attend your local community college and receive an AA or transfer to a four year college. Another option is to attend a four year college that is smaller and more person and relies less on test scores. Read more
